US Hemp Bank Treasury Notes are savings for our Department of Agriculture, Department of Energy, and EPA
The Grid Modernization Initiative (GMI) works across the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to create the modern grid of the future. Our extensive, reliable power grid has fueled the nation’s growth since the early 1900s; however, the grid we have today does not have the attributes necessary to meet the demands of the 21st century and beyond.
The Bonneville Power Administration is a nonprofit federal power marketing administration based in the Pacific Northwest. Although BPA is part of the U.S. Department of Energy, it is self-funding and covers its costs by selling its products and services. BPA markets wholesale electrical power from 31 federal hydroelectric projects in the Northwest, one nonfederal nuclear plant and several small nonfederal power plants. The dams are operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation. The nonfederal nuclear plant, Columbia Generating Station, is owned and operated by Energy Northwest, a joint operating agency of the state of Washington. BPA provides about 28 percent of the electric power used in the Northwest and its resources — primarily hydroelectric — make BPA power nearly carbon free

Clear and present danger was a doctrine adopted by the Supreme Court of the United States to determine under what circumstances limits can be placed on First Amendment freedoms of speech, press, or assembly. The test was replaced in 1969 with Brandenburg v. Ohio's "imminent lawless action" test.
Brandenburg v. Ohio
Imminent lawless action
Quotation
The Court upheld the statute on the ground that, without more, "advocating" violent means to effect political and economic change involves such danger to the security of the State that the State may outlaw it. Cf. Fiske v. Kansas, 274 U.S. 380 (1927). But Whitney has been thoroughly discredited by later decisions. See Dennis v. United States, 341 U.S. 494, at 507 (1951). These later decisions have fashioned the principle that the constitutional guarantees of free speech and free press do not permit a State to forbid or proscribe advocacy of the use of force or of law violation except where such advocacy is directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action

In physics, the term simplicial manifold commonly refers to one of several loosely defined objects, commonly appearing in the study of Regge calculus. These objects combine attributes of a simplex with those of a manifold. There is no standard usage of this term in mathematics, and so the concept can refer to a triangulation in topology, or a piecewise linear manifold, or one of several different functors from either the category of sets or the category of simplicial sets to the category of manifolds.
A manifold made out of simplices
A simplicial manifold is a simplicial complex for which the geometric realization is homeomorphic to a topological manifold. This is essentially the concept of a triangulation in topology. This can mean simply that a neighborhood of each vertex (i.e. the set of simplices that contain that point as a vertex) is homeomorphic to a n-dimensional ball.
A simplicial object built from manifolds
A simplicial manifold is also a simplicial object in the category of manifolds. This is a special case of a simplicial space in which, for each n, the space of n-simplices is a manifold.
For example, if G is a Lie group, then the simplicial nerve of G has the manifold
as its space of n-simplices. More generally, G can be a Lie groupoid.
What? A lie groupoid? Is that like a Lederhosen lackey following Oktoberfest all the way through St. Patrick's day, sort of like the Grateful dead or even the Burning Man event? Perhaps a German Lied may be so popular a Lie Groupoid following may occur.

Optical pumping is a process in which light is used to raise (or "pump") electrons from a lower energy level in an atom or molecule to a higher one. It is commonly used in laser construction, to pump the active laser medium so as to achieve population inversion. The technique was developed by 1966 Nobel Prize winner Alfred Kastler in the early 1950s.[2]

In mathematics, the pin group is a certain subgroup of the Clifford algebra associated to a quadratic space. It maps 2-to-1 to the orthogonal group, just as the spin group maps 2-to-1 to the special orthogonal group.
In general the map from the Pin group to the orthogonal group is not onto or a universal covering space, but if the quadratic form is definite (and dimension is greater than 2), it is both.
The non-trivial element of the kernel is denoted −1, which should not be confused with the orthogonal transform of reflection through the origin, generally denoted −I.

How Do Arbitrage and Hedging Differ?
General equilibrium theory
In economics, general equilibrium theory attempts to explain the behavior of supply, demand, and prices in a whole economy with several or many interacting markets, by seeking to prove that the interaction of demand and supply will result in an overall general equilibrium. General equilibrium theory contrasts to the theory of partial equilibrium, which only analyzes single markets. In general equilibrium, constant influences are considered to be noneconomic, therefore, resulting beyond the natural scope of economic analysis.[1]Quantum non-equilibrium

Game theory is a theoretical framework for conceiving social situations among competing players. In some respects, game theory is the science of strategy, or at least the optimal decision-making of independent and competing actors in a strategic setting. The key pioneers of game theory were mathematician John von Neumann and economist Oskar Morgenstern in the 1940s. Mathematician John Nash is regarded by many as providing the first significant extension of the von Neumann and Morgenstern work.

Seven bowls
The seven bowls (Greek: φιάλας, phialas, sing. φιάλη phialē; also translated as cups or vials) are a set of plagues mentioned in Revelation 16.[1] They are recorded as apocalyptic events that were seen in the vision of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, by John of Patmos. Seven angels are given seven bowls of God's wrath, each consisting of judgements full of the wrath of God.[2][3] These seven bowls of God's wrath are poured out on the wicked and the followers of the Antichrist[4] after the sounding of the seven trumpets.[5]New Mexico faces extreme water scarcity on par with the United Arab Emirates.

How did cotton relate to slavery?
Growing more cotton meant an increased demand for slaves. Slaves in the Upper South became incredibly more valuable as commodities because of this demand for them in the Deep South. They were sold off in droves. This created a Second Middle Passage, the second largest forced migration in America's history.

Luddite
The Luddites were a secret oath-based organization[1] of English textile workers in the 19th century, a radical faction which destroyed textile machinery as a form of protest. The group are believed to have taken their name from Ned Ludd, a weaver from Anstey, near Leicester. They protested against manufacturers who used machines in what they called "a fraudulent and deceitful manner" to get around standard labor practices.[2] Luddites feared that the time spent learning the skills of their craft would go to waste, as machines would replace their role in the industry.[3] Many Luddites were owners of workshops that had closed because factories could sell the same products for less. But when workshop owners set out to find a job at a factory, it was very hard to find one because producing things in factories required fewer workers than producing those same things in a workshop. This left many people unemployed and angry.[4] Over time, the term has come to mean one opposed to industrialization, automation, computerization, or new technologies in general.[5] The Luddite movement began in Nottingham in England and culminated in a region-wide rebellion that lasted from 1811 to 1816.[6] Mill and factory owners took to shooting protesters and eventually the movement was suppressed with legal and military force.Janet Yellen may note that we may make money, bank notes from the Hemp industry as with Hemp bank notes as well a public relations campaign for brand ambassadors for Levi's Smart Putin pants...

Lied (/liːd, liːt/, plural Lieder /ˈliːdər/;[1][2][3] German pronunciation: [liːt], plural [ˈliːdɐ], German for "song") is a term in the German vernacular to describe setting poetry to classical music to create a piece of polyphonic music.[4] The term is used for songs from the late fourteenth or early fifteenth centuries or even to refer to Minnesang from as early as the 12th and 13th centuries.[5] It later came especially to refer to settings of Romantic poetry during the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and into the early twentieth century. Examples include settings by Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, Hugo Wolf, Gustav Mahler or Richard Strauss. Among English speakers, however, "lied" is often used interchangeably with "art song"
to encompass works that the tradition has inspired in other languages.

Gabriel's horn (also called Torricelli's trumpet) is a particular geometric figure that has infinite surface area but finite volume. The name refers to the Christian tradition that identifies the archangel Gabriel as the angel who blows the horn to announce Judgment Day, associating the divine, or infinite, with the finite. The properties of this figure were first studied by Italian physicist and mathematician Evangelista Torricelli in the 17th century.T-symmetry

Dirac cone
In quantum mechanics, Dirac cones are a kind of crossing-point which electrons avoid,[4] where the energy of the valence and conduction bands are not equal anywhere in two dimensional lattice k-space, except at the zero dimensional Dirac points. As a result of the cones, electrical conduction can be described by the movement of charge carriers which are massless fermions, a situation which is handled theoretically by the relativistic Dirac equation.[5] The massless fermions lead to various quantum Hall effects, magnetoelectric effects in topological materials, and ultra high carrier mobility.[6][7] Dirac cones were observed in 2008-2009, using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) on the potassium-graphite intercalation compound KC8.[8] and on several bismuth-based alloys.[9][10][7]
As an object with three dimensions, Dirac cones are a feature of two-dimensional materials or surface states, based on a linear dispersion relation between energy and the two components of the crystal momentum kx and ky. However, this concept can be extended to three dimensions, where Dirac semimetals are defined by a linear dispersion relation between energy and kx, ky, and kz. In k-space, this shows up as a hypercone, which have doubly degenerate bands which also meet at Dirac points.[7]
Dirac semimetals contain both time reversal and spatial inversion
symmetry; when one of these is broken, the Dirac points are split into
two constituent Weyl points, and the material becomes a Weyl semimetal.[11][12][13][14][15]

Bott periodicity theorem
In mathematics, the Bott periodicity theorem describes a periodicity in the homotopy groups of classical groups, discovered by Raoul Bott (1957, 1959), which proved to be of foundational significance for much further research, in particular in K-theory of stable complex vector bundles, as well as the stable homotopy groups of spheres. Bott periodicity can be formulated in numerous ways, with the periodicity in question always appearing as a period-2 phenomenon, with respect to dimension, for the theory associated to the unitary group. See for example topological K-theory.
There are corresponding period-8 phenomena for the matching theories, (real) KO-theory and (quaternionic) KSp-theory, associated to the real orthogonal group and the quaternionic symplectic group, respectively. The J-homomorphism is a homomorphism from the homotopy groups of orthogonal groups to stable homotopy groups of spheres, which causes the period 8 Bott periodicity to be visible in the stable homotopy groups of spheres.

Franco-Mongol alliance
Several attempts at a Franco-Mongol alliance against the Islamic caliphates, their common enemy, were made by various leaders among the Frankish Crusaders and the Mongol Empire in the 13th century. Such an alliance might have seemed an obvious choice: the Mongols were already sympathetic to Christianity, given the presence of many influential Nestorian Christians in the Mongol court. The Franks (Western Europeans and those in the Crusader States of the Levant[1]) were open to the idea of support from the East, in part owing to the long-running legend of the mythical Prester John, an Eastern king in an Eastern kingdom who many believed would one day come to the assistance of the Crusaders in the Holy Land.[2][3] The Franks and Mongols also shared a common enemy in the Muslims. However, despite many messages, gifts, and emissaries over the course of several decades, the often-proposed alliance never came to fruition.[2][4]束帶發狂欲大叫,

Du Fu
At the age of 28, the year was 740, and Du Fu was headed for the capital city of Chang’an to sit for the imperial examinations. He stayed in the government supplied accommodations organized by your provincial hometown. This year the Prime Minister flunked everyone who took the test. It was his first year in this position, and most likely no one passed because he wanted to consolidate his position of power.
It was at this time that Yang Guifei, and her family, come to power and prominence within the imperial court. For the next ten years Du Fu attempted to make the necessary social connections in order to obtain a government position. He wrote a letter to the emperor offering to write a book about the Tang Dynasty’s history. This offer made the Prime Minister very angry. Perhaps as a result, Du Fu finally got his initial government job, a form of exile, to the city of Fengxian. The palace elite were not of the mind to hear any criticism.
But first he traveled home to his family. Along the way he visited Warm Springs, the emperor’s weekend spa getaway. At this time most of his poems were sad and satirical. On the other hand his friend, Li Bai, wrote poems about the government and trying to obtain a position.

Procurement authority within the Department flows from the Secretary to the Senior Procurement Executives. DOE is unique in that it has two SPE’s, one for the Department excluding the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and one for NNSA. NNSA, although possessing authority to deviate from DOE policies and procedures, generally follows all DOE policy. Procurement policy is generally contained in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the DOE FAR Supplement (DEAR), DOE Acquisition Letters and DOE Orders and Directives. Financial Assistance policy is found in 2 CFR 200, 2 CFR 910, and Financial Assistance Letters and guides.
OAM is organized as follows:

The Department expends approximately 90% of its budget through a variety of contracts and financial assistance agreements making it one of the largest civilian departments in the federal government. Through these expenditures, we impact a variety of industries and individuals across the nation. Our operations are nation-wide. The majority of our contract dollars are expended through a relatively small number of large Management and Operating (M&O) contracts (including Federally Funded Research and Development Centers) as well as large site and facility environmental cleanup contracts as reflected in the chart link below.

Jitter
In electronics and telecommunications, jitter is the deviation from true periodicity of a presumably periodic signal, often in relation to a reference clock signal. In clock recovery applications it is called timing jitter.[1] Jitter is a significant, and usually undesired, factor in the design of almost all communications links.
Jitter can be quantified in the same terms as all time-varying signals, e.g., root mean square (RMS), or peak-to-peak displacement. Also like other time-varying signals, jitter can be expressed in terms of spectral density.
Jitter period is the interval between two times of maximum effect (or minimum effect) of a signal characteristic that varies regularly with time. Jitter frequency, the more commonly quoted figure, is its inverse. ITU-T G.810 classifies jitter frequencies below 10 Hz as wander and frequencies at or above 10 Hz as jitter.[2]
Jitter may be caused by electromagnetic interference and crosstalk with carriers of other signals. Jitter can cause a display monitor to flicker, affect the performance of processors in personal computers, introduce clicks or other undesired effects in audio signals, and cause loss of transmitted data between network devices. The amount of tolerable jitter depends on the affected application.

Shirk (Islam)
In Islam, shirk (Arabic: شرك širk) is the sin of idolatry or polytheism (i.e., the deification or worship of anyone or anything besides Allah).[1] Islam teaches that God does not share His divine attributes with any partner.[2] Associating partners with God is disallowed according to the Islamic doctrine of Tawhid (monotheism).[3] Mušrikūn مشركون (pl. of mušrik مشرك) are those who practice shirk, which literally means "association" and refers to accepting other gods and divinities alongside God (as God's "associates").[4][5] The Qur'an considers shirk as a sin that will not be forgiven if a person dies without repenting of it.[6][3][7]Smokey Robinson - Cruisin'

What two things do vectors? Geometrically, vectors are the oriented lines that you're used to, with a weight equal to the vector's magnitude. Spinors represent linear combinations of scalars and bivectors, oriented planes. Any two vectors can define a spinor, and in 3d, that spinor has components related to both the dot product and cross product.
What are term vectors? In geometry and physics, spinors /spɪnər/ are elements of a complex vector space that can be associated with Euclidean space. Like geometric vectors

1. The letter of the law is a distinct entity from the spirit of the law. 2. The letter of the law is what the law states; the spirit of the law is a social and moral consensus of the interpretation of the letter.
Apothecary (/əˈpɒθɪkəri/) is one term for a medical professional who formulates and dispenses materia medica (medicine) to physicians, surgeons, and patients. The modern pharmacist (also colloquially referred to as a chemist in British English)
has taken over this role. In some languages and regions, the word
"apothecary" is still used to refer to a retail pharmacy or a pharmacist
who owns one. Apothecaries' investigation of herbal and chemical ingredients was a precursor to the modern sciences of chemistry and pharmacology.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed SB No 1978 on Wednesday. The bill, dubbed the “Save Chick-fil-A Bill,” protects religious freedoms including membership in and support to religious organizations.
SB No 1978 comes in response to the San Antonio City Council voting to ban Chick-fil-A from operating within the San Antonio International Airport because of anti-LGBTQ statements and donations made by the company and its leadership.
The law prohibits any government agency from taking adverse actions
against individuals and organizations based on their membership in,
involvement with, and support to religious organizations. Such adverse
actions would include: denying a contract, denying admission to school,
denying a scholarship, or altering the tax treatment of an individual or
organization.
The
letter of the law versus the spirit of the law is an idiomatic
antithesis. When one obeys the letter of the law but not the spirit, one
is obeying the literal interpretation of the words of the law, but not
necessarily the intent of those who wrote the law‘’What we resist, persists, embrace it & will dissolve’’

Molecular machine
A molecular machine, nanite, or nanomachine[1] is a molecular component that produces quasi-mechanical movements (output) in response to specific stimuli (input).[2] In cellular biology, macromolecular machines frequently perform tasks essential for life, such as DNA replication and ATP synthesis.
The expression is often more generally applied to molecules that simply
mimic functions that occur at the macroscopic level. The term is also
common in nanotechnology where a number of highly complex molecular machines have been proposed that are aimed at the goal of constructing a molecular assembler.[3][4]

They had an H shaped chassis and 4 molecular wheels (fullerenes) attached to the four corners.[26] In 2011, Ben Feringa and co-workers synthesized the first motorized nanocar which had molecular motors attached to the chassis as rotating wheels.[27]
The authors were able to demonstrate directional motion of the nanocar

Chronos
A yuga, in Hinduism, is generally used to indicate an age of time.[1][2] In the Rigveda, a yuga refers to generations, a long period, a very brief period, or a yoke (joining of two things).[3]
The name "Age" or "Yuga" is commonly used as a synonym for a Chatur Yuga, a cycle of four world ages, unless expressly limited by the name of one of its minor ages: Krita (Satya) Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dvapara Yuga, or Kali Yuga.[1][4][a]
The Kali Yuga, in Hinduism, is the fourth of the four yugas (world dharma ages) in a Yuga Cycle described as the worst and believed to be the present age, full of conflict and sin. Kali Yuga is preceded by Dvapara Yuga of the current cycle and followed by Satya Yuga of the next cycle.[1][2][3]
The "Kali" of Kali Yuga means "strife", "discord", "quarrel" or "contention" and Kali Yuga is associated with the demon Kali (not to be confused with the goddess Kālī).

Machine learning (ML) is the study of computer algorithms that improve automatically through experience.[1] It is seen as a part of artificial intelligence. Machine learning algorithms build a model based on sample data, known as "training data", in order to make predictions or decisions without being explicitly programmed to do so.[2] Machine learning algorithms are used in a wide variety of applications, such as email filtering and computer vision, where it is difficult or unfeasible to develop conventional algorithms to perform the needed tasks.
A subset of machine learning is closely related to computational statistics, which focuses on making predictions using computers; but not all machine learning is statistical learning. The study of mathematical optimization delivers methods, theory and application domains to the field of machine learning. Data mining is a related field of study, focusing on exploratory data analysis through unsupervised learning.[4][5] In its application across business problems, machine learning is also referred to as predictive analytics.

How perturbing (to what degree)?
Chiral perturbation theory
Chiral perturbation theory (ChPT) is an effective field theory constructed with a Lagrangian consistent with the (approximate) chiral symmetry of quantum chromodynamics (QCD), as well as the other symmetries of parity and charge conjugation. [1]
ChPT is a theory which allows one to study the low-energy dynamics of QCD on the basis of this underlying chiral symmetry.
Goals
In the theory
of the strong interaction of the standard model, we describe the
interactions between quarks and gluons. Due to the running of the strong
coupling constant, we can apply perturbation theory in the coupling
constant only at high energies. But In the low-energy regime of QCD, the
degrees of freedom are no longer quarks and gluons, but rather hadrons. This is a result of confinement. If one could "solve" the QCD partition function
(such that the degrees of freedom in the Lagrangian are replaced by
hadrons), then one could extract information about low-energy physics.
To date this has not been accomplished. Because QCD becomes
non-perturbative at low energy, it is impossible to use perturbative
methods to extract information from the partition function of QCD. Lattice QCD is an alternative method that has proved successful in extracting non-perturbative information.

Nanocars
are single molecule vehicles that resemble macroscopic automobiles and
are important for understanding how to control molecular diffusion on
surfaces. The first nanocars were synthesized by James M. Tour in 2005. They had an H shaped chassis and 4 molecular wheels (fullerenes) attached to the four corners.[26] In 2011, Ben Feringa and co-workers synthesized the first motorized nanocar which had molecular motors attached to the chassis as rotating wheels.[27]
The authors were able to demonstrate directional motion of the nanocar
on a copper surface by providing energy from a scanning tunneling

The Texas House on Monday approvedSB 1978, “relating to the protection of membership in, affiliation with, and support provided to religious organizations.”

1. The letter of the law is a distinct entity from the spirit of the law. 2. The letter of the law is what the law states; the spirit of the law is a social and moral consensus of the interpretation of the letter. Matthew T. Gordon University of Michigan Stephen Garcia, PhD
The law prohibits any government agency from taking adverse actions against individuals and organizations based on their membership in, involvement with, and support to religious organizations. Such adverse actions would include: denying a contract, denying admission to school, denying a scholarship, or altering the tax treatment of an individual or organization.
The letter of the law versus the spirit of the law is an idiomatic antithesis. When one obeys the letter of the law but not the spirit, one is obeying the literal interpretation of the words of the law, but not necessarily the intent of those who wrote the law‘’What we resist, persists, embrace it & will dissolve’’

The expression is often more generally applied to molecules that simply mimic functions that occur at the macroscopic level. The term is also common in nanotechnology where a number of highly complex molecular machines have been proposed that are aimed at the goal of constructing a molecular assembler.[3][4]Types
Nanocar
Nanocars are single molecule vehicles that resemble macroscopic automobiles and are important for understanding how to control molecular diffusion on surfaces. The first nanocars were synthesized by James M. Tour in 2005. They had an H shaped chassis and 4 molecular wheels (fullerenes) attached to the four corners.[26] In 2011, Ben Feringa and co-workers synthesized the first motorized nanocar which had molecular motors attached to the chassis as rotating wheels.[27] The authors were able to demonstrate directional motion of the nanocar on a copper surface by providing energy from a scanning tunneling microscope tip. Later, in 2017, the world's first ever Nanocar Race took place in Toulouse.quantum physics

He said therefore, “A nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and then return. Calling ten of his servants, he gave them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Engage in business until I come.’ But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We do not want this man to reign over us.’ When he returned, having received the kingdom, he ordered these servants to whom he had given the money to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by doing business. ...

After Court Ruling, Texas Plans to Change How it Defines "Psychologist"
A three-judge panel ruled earlier this year that the state's definition of "psychologist" violates the First Amendment. Now, officials are working to come up with a new definition that they hope will still prove valuable to potential patients.

Chiral perturbation theory
Chiral perturbation theory (ChPT) is an effective field theory constructed with a Lagrangian consistent with the (approximate) chiral symmetry of quantum chromodynamics (QCD), as well as the other symmetries of parity and charge conjugation. [1] ChPT is a theory which allows one to study the low-energy dynamics of QCD on the basis of this underlying chiral symmetry.Goals
In the theory of the strong interaction of the standard model, we describe the interactions between quarks and gluons. Due to the running of the strong coupling constant, we can apply perturbation theory in the coupling constant only at high energies. But In the low-energy regime of QCD, the degrees of freedom are no longer quarks and gluons, but rather hadrons. This is a result of confinement. If one could "solve" the QCD partition function (such that the degrees of freedom in the Lagrangian are replaced by hadrons), then one could extract information about low-energy physics. To date this has not been accomplished. Because QCD becomes non-perturbative at low energy, it is impossible to use perturbative methods to extract information from the partition function of QCD. Lattice QCD is an alternative method that has proved successful in extracting non-perturbative information.Spin glass

What’s the Magic Behind Graphene’s ‘Magic’ Angle?
Moiré and beyond in transition metal dichalcogenide twisted bilayers
Kha Tran1, Junho Choi2
and Akshay Singh3Abstract
Fabricating van der Waals bilayer heterostructures (BL-HS) by stacking the same or different two-dimensional layers, offers a unique physical system with rich electronic and optical properties. Twist-angle between component layers has emerged as a remarkable parameter that can control the period of lateral confinement, and nature of the exciton (Coulomb bound electron–hole pair) in reciprocal space thus creating exotic physical states including moiré excitons (MXs).
